About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team of a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the UK. Due to recent project wins across the education, healthcare and leisure sectors, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team. They provide services to the public and private sector and are known for their ambitious culture.

You will be assisting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on construction projects from procurement to final accounts based near Chelmsford.

Key Responsibilities of Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Include but not limited to:

• Support the measurement and valuation of work
• Procurement of subcontractor packages
• Cost reporting
• Contract administration
• Risk management
• Financial forecasting

Key Requirements of Assistant Quantity Surveyor

• Degree educated in a construction related subject
• Live within commutable distance to Chelmsford
• Experience as a trainee or assistant quantity surveyor at a main contractor
• UK driving licence
