Banksman - East London

Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct and guide reversing vehicles and mobile plant safely around site.

• Act as a banksman for deliveries, site vehicles and construction plant.

• Maintain clear communication with drivers and plant operators using agreed signals and radios where required.

• Assist with the safe movement of materials and deliveries around site.

• Ensure pedestrians are kept safely away from vehicle and plant movements.

• Help maintain safe access and egress routes around the site.

• Follow all site health and safety procedures.

• Communicate effectively with site management and other trades.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Site Manager.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Banksman/Vehicle Marshall qualification where required.

• Previous experience working as a Banksman/Vehicle Marshall on construction sites.

• Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.

• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a site team.

• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.

• Full PPE.

• Relevant site experience and a valid CSCS card may be required depending on site requirements.
